Abstract |
The authors firstly deals with the comparison analysis made in the XIX and the beginning of the XX century by M. P. Vronchenko, D. P. Oznobishin, A. N. Pleshcheev, F. A. Chervinsky, V. S. Lykhachov, L. I. Umanets and the unknown translator on the material of the interpretations of the poem «Oh! Breathe not his name…», which belonged to the famous cycle «Irish Melodies», written by Thomas Moore. The authors of the article marked the artistic originality of the each of Russian interpretation and their harmony with the public and political events and literary life in Russia. The poem «Oh! Breathe not his name…» considers in the context of the whole poetic cycle «Irish Melodies», which helps to find important scientific facts and conclusions. |
